Deloitte Digital London moves home

05 January, 2014 by Grant Bilkus | Around the OfficeDeloitte Digital Update

The London branch of Deloitte Digital has a new home! We’ve moved from Deloitte HQ in Blackfriars, to our own studio a 10 minute stroll away in Farringdon.

We’ve taken over the First Floor of the Buckley Building overlooking Clerkenwell Green*. It’s also home to a small community with its own hairdresser, café, deli, gallery, park and a pub that was made for Fridays. It’s a little part of London that while central, is tucked away from main hustle of Farringdon tube station.

The building itself is a former 1930s factory with beautiful high ceilings and windows that wrap around each wall. The views and natural light bring the outside in, and with over 16,500 sq ft there’s heaps of space for our 200+ staff members to spread out.

The space can adapt, lending itself to Agile ways of working. We made sure there were plenty of inspiring spaces for concepting sessions and collaboration, as well as a client-friendly area. We’ve carefully picked out light-coloured office chairs, soft seating in a range of shapes and textures, funky exposed light bulbs, our own in-house coffee shop – we even have a garage door to divide off a larger meeting area.

And there’s more. A team of local artists have been commissioned to paint murals to help bring some extra energy to the space. We’re putting our mark on The Buckley Building, and creating a space that represents us.

Fancy sharing our new home? We’re always on the lookout for digital enthusiasts so please visit our careers page if you’d like to come and join us in our new creative space.

* Sound familiar? Clerkenwell Green is where Fagin and the Artful Dodger taught Oliver his pickpocketing skills. Charles Dickens used to bank on Sekforde Street just outside our front door.
